Small Electrical Jobs

We Specialise in Small Jobs!

Unlike many Electricians we will visit to look at your small electrical jobs. We understand that many people aren't able or equipped to carryout these jobs by themselves and as Electricians it is our duty to keep you safe in your home.

Whilst we have a busy diary we always allocate regular slots throughout the week for these smaller jobs and for emergencies to ensure that we can always fit you in at a time that is convenient for you.

Could it be Time for a Change?

We can help you with the following:

  • Removing sockets or switches
  • Replacing a light fitting or two
  • Replacing a door bell
  • Changing socket or switch fronts
  • Rewiring plug tops
  • Partial rewiring
  • Earthing gas and water services
  • Replacing lightbulbs
  • Investigate things that don’t work
  • Adding outdoor sockets
  • Installing ovens and hobs
  • Installing loft lighting
  • Adding a light switch or pullcord
  • Adding a plug socket or two
  • Adding smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms
  • Installing extract fans

If it is not mentioned above but it is important to you then it is important to us and we will be happy to attend.

Working locally we know that lots of residents are unable to carry out those small everyday tasks that result in a build-up of little things not working, a light bulb blown that can’t be reached. That outside sensor light. A doorbell that’s stopped working, the list goes on but not only that, some things require an electrician but you may be afraid that this issue is too small and you are bothering them.

Are Your Electrics in Need of a Little TLC?

Electrical accessories around the home can often feel the effects of time and sometimes stop working altogether, have you ever had a light switch suddenly stop working or one side of a socket not working? A sensor light that does not work after countless new bulbs? If so then you will know what I mean.

In addition to this some electrical accessories may break or fail to work, he quality of the said accessory can also be a big factor, for instance a study by electrical safety first found USB socket outlets purchased from the internet did not comply with many if not all of the British standards required and posed a serious danger in the event of a fault.

Sometimes it can be a simple repair or replacement part required whilst other times depending on age an upgrade may be the best solution.

Alternatively you may have be moving home or decorating and in the process of deciding on which new sockets and switches to purchase before arranging an electrician to install these for you... It is always a good idea to speak to a qualified electrician beforehand to help you avoid costly mistakes when purchasing materials.

A good example of this is, in the past I have had customers that have purchased all the light switches for their home in preparation for my visit without knowing that the internal workings are different to those they currently had fitted, they look identical on the outside but as a consequence they couldn't be used as replacements and my customer was unable to return the items to the store they had purchased them from, an expensive mistake that can be avoided.

As Your Local Electricians we are happy to give advice on works that you may be planning and we provide free quotations. In some instances depending on your requirements we may even be able to quote you a price over the phone and attend in the same day.
