A Day in the life of your Local Bromley Electrician

Power cut what powercut

Welcome to the first of a new type of blog, one that takes a look on the day to day goings on of your local electrician but not, thankfully written every day, I am a Local Electrician in Bromley Kent.

It was an early start today, the first phone call came at 7.30 am, and luckily I was up and already hard at work.

On the other end of the phone was a local Lady who had suffered a power cut which began last night, it had now resulted in the entire contents of the freezer defrosting and being thrown away.

The neighbours are all ok but I have no power, help me! She said with anguish in her voice. After a sleepless night she explained how she had spent the early hours of the morning on hold to energy companies.

Sympathising with her I got there with a fast response, within two hours.

Arriving early I crept up the wet stone path, slowly to avoid slipping and dodging the rain drops still pouring from the trees.

After the introduction I then crawled under the small cupboard where the fuseboards are normally kept, taking with me the LED Searchlight, a must for all small dark cupboards.

The issue was an RCD that needed resetting and after a short time and a few checks it was back to normal.

If only she had known about this switch, the shopping could have been saved.

A quick discussion on how to fix the issue in the future and I was on my way.

Just another day in the life of a Kent electrician.

The story is true but names and locations have been changed to protect the innocent and to spare any embarrassment that may be have been caused to the individuals.
